We are a non-denominational church that believes that all humans are born into sin and are sinners and deserve eternal separation from God after we die as a consequence for our sin. We believe that as a result of our hopeless eternal fate that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth in the form of a man to die on a cross as a final and ultimate sacrifice for our sin and raised himself from death, and should any one believe this truth will spend the rest of eternity with God.
1. We believe in the plenary (full) verbal (by means of words) inspiration of scripture therefore infallible and inerrant. 2 Sam.23: 2; Pro. 30:5; Ezekiel 1:3; 2:1; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1: 19-21; 1 Corinthians 2:13.
2. We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, the Father (1 Corinthians 8: 6); the Son (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 1:8-10) and the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4; John 14:16-18).
3. We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1: 18-25; Luke 1:26-28.
4. We believe in the Deity of Christ; that is, He was fully God and fully man.
5. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ from the dead and that He ascended unto God the Father. Matthew 28; Mark 16; 1 Corinthians 15; Romans 1:4.
6. We believe that the return of Christ will be in two parts. The first part of His return will be before the tribulation in the event called the rapture where He will gather the saints to be with Him. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18; 5: 8. The second part of His return is when He will come to reign on the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6; 2 Tim. 2:12).
7. All men inherit a totally depraved nature and are lost in need of salvation. (Romans 3:9-19; Eph. 2: 1-3)
8. We believe that God the Father provided salvation through offering His son as the propitiation for our sins. We believe in the unlimited atonement of Christ in that He died for the sins of the whole world and is applied to those who by faith come to Him in repentance. 1 John 2: 1-2; Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:22.
9. We believe in the eternal security of the believer (one who has been converted). This belief is not a teaching that one has the license to sin and live as one sees fit. The one who is eternally secured will bear fruit of repentance and the fruit of the Holy Spirit (This is not to be confused with the fallacy that one must do works for salvation) (John 17: 12; Eph.1: 13-14).
10. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which takes place at the time of conversion and places the believer into the body of Christ. We do not believe that this a second work of grace or necessary for salvation. (1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:27) This is not the same as being filled with the Holy Spirit, which is a command and an on-going process. (Eph. 5:18) We do not believe that the filling of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the public use of tongues.
11. We believe that the two ordinances of the local church are baptism and the Lord's Supper. Neither of these ordinances have salvic powers (that is the ability to save).
12. We believe that the Bible teaches the eternal blessedness of the saved. (John 4:14; 5:24; 14:1-6; Eph. 2:4-7). It also teaches the eternal punishment of the lost. (John 5:28-29; Rev. 20:10, 15).
